Dexter

Dexter has got to be my new favorite show of the season - not that Heroes and BSG don't have very high places of honor as well, but Dexter is stealing the show. Sunday's episode was fantastic, the kind that cements a show in the viewers conscience as being really damn good. The story comes together, the characters are better revealed and the plot sure as hell thickens. Hmm, hmm, good!

I dont know how closely people have been watching Dex..But I would like some feedback to see if anyone thinks that Rudy the doctor could also be Dex's bio brother? I am curious as to why Harry "lied" we know it was to protect him...but from whom? Only could be Rudy

I've been starting to wonder the same thing about Rudy... but I think there are too many things pointing away from that.
Guess we'll find out soon enough...

I am really starting to wonder how Rudy knows so damn much about Dexter - but I hadn't considered they might be brothers. That would be insanely twisted if thats the case. I figured Harry lied since the father had a bad history. The plot certainly thickens - especially after this last episode.

it looks in the previews for the next episode that Angel gets killed by the ice truck killer because he gets to close that is the crime scene that dexter has to walk out of. AM i right or what i dont know but i hope not Angel is a really nice guy

I get the feeling that there is more going on regarding a connection....bio brother is interesting. Rudy is just too obsessed with Dex and Deb. I've been enjoying this series so much I'm really starting to wish there were more episodes per season. clearly the mark of a stellar program!

Yes I too believe they are brothers and also think some how all 4, Rudy, Dexter, and the dead dads all have something in common. Some how all connected. Show is great...

I know this is random, but what is that song they played in the "Father Knows Best" episode when Rudy and Deb and Rita are dancing, and it's the song when Dexter remembers seeing his father's tattoo? I'm sure everyone knows the name/artist except me!

The song they were dancing to is Slowride by Foghat

Bio brother for Rudy is interesting, but he looks nothing like Dexter, and he was the "cable repairman" who killed Dexter's father. He found a way to get to that house on the weekend to revisit the scene of his crime. It seems like he is on a quest to kill Dexter's whole family. I hope Angel doesn't get killed either.

Rudy is becoming fascinating. I can't wait for the next two episodes. And I'm wondering why he made that cast of Deb's legs. Maybe it's something to do with the appendage fetish or something for his plan to kill her, too.

I can't wait for the next episode!

I think that Rudy is Dex's bio brother, but I am more interested in why harry lied and kept dex from him.
Dex's dad did spend time in jail, so we know that he committed a crime. Was he a serial killer too? That would explain why Harry would keep him from Dex. And going back to the beginning, does it seem that Harry was expecting Dex to be a sociopath?
Good call on the leg casting, but he probably doesn't want to kill her, just make someone think he did.

You guys should read the books...

Rudy is definitely the his biological (older) brother. He knew about their father and killed him in order to bring Dex and himself (Rudy) together. Like Dexter said: "Hide in plain sight" and that's exactly what Rudy is doing. The books are great, but I love all the stuff they throw into the show in order to get full seasons out of it. The books help you piece together the story better and to understand some of Dexter's past that hasn't been shown yet (which includes him, his mother, and his brother). I cannot remember what the father did, but it was along the lines of drugs and I think he was in Witness Protection because he was never to be talked about. This is definitely the best show on the tv.

Everybody is so right on about Dexter, I have been hooked since the first show!!!!!! I haven't any comments about Rudy going for the scissors when Deb was asleep. It's great to see Rita get tough with her ex, my wife thinks that Rudy might take care of him as a gift to Dex without Dex knowing about it.

I am sooooooooo fasinated by this Show! After each episode there is something else to think and wonder
about. Michael Hall is Great as Dexter. Rudy and Deb sure have some chemistry. I loved the dancing on the couch to SLOWRIDE,
Deb has some moves!

I also think Dex and Rudy are brothers...maybe even maternal twins. What if Deb is actually their sister?Seems like Harry had a few secrets.

Nick B - I think I just might take up the books - this story is just too good!

I read Dexter about a year ago and then I saw a commercial for the Show they were making and I became VERY Excited! I definitely recommend reading the first book...the second book may depress you a bit lol even though it is pretty cool.

Also for you guys still wondering if Dex and Rudy are brothers...Let me say this again: Yes. They are brothers. So prepare for a wild ride which involves Deb...in a sick and twisted way :P

Interesting episode this week.If you looked closely,in one scene when Dexter was flashing back at his mother being killed, sitting in a pool of blood,I thought I saw another child or two in the room.
The other thing that popped into my mind was maybe Harry is Dex's uncle.
Does Rudy kill Deb next week?Or does Rita?
Dexter definately figures out who and what Rudy is next week......but is it too late?
