Unfortunately, you'll still have to pay in Canada.
The three wireless companies, Rogers, Bell, and Telus, have a combined wifi network, branded as the rather unoriginal hotspot. These can be found in Starbucks and Second Cup locations, as well as many airports and hotels, etc.
Depending on which carrier supplies the specific location's service, access to the wifi can be obtained through various methods.
The best, obviously, is a pre-paid plan on your wireless account; view the Rogers plans. Remember, as an employee, you'll get 50% off the monthly fee; I've got the $4 plan, which is then $2. Even though I don't use it everything month, it's there when I need it.
Yeah - what timing for me since it comes too late for my Saturday morning trips to Starbucks.
The employee discount definitely comes in handy - Bill's taken advantage. I'm hoping for included hotspot access whenever the iPhone makes it to Canada. Oh please oh please.
