Post Debate Thoughts

- Bush totally lied about his comments regarding Osama bin Laden. I've already heard the audio clips on the radio this morning when he stated he didn't really think about bin Laden much at all. Mind you, he said it only six months after 9/11 when he was all gung-ho about invading Iraq.

- So are drugs from Canada good or bad?! In the second debate he stated he couldn't allow drugs from Canada because they could be dangerous. But now he's running to Canada to help with out flu vaccine shortage. Oh, and the FDA didn't not decide to stop Chiron from shipping their bad vaccines, the British made that decision and caught the FDA totally off-guard.

- His whole "culture of life" statements are starting to really piss me off. I recall a statement that as Governor of Texas he presided over the most executions of any state in America history. These opposing actions/views do not mesh.

- Bush's healthcare view is a complete pandering to the insurance companies. American's are not about to start calling hospitals and asking for rates. "Hi, I'm wondering how much you charge to remove a tumor in my colon?"

- I bet small business owners would rather see their healthcare costs drop rather than their taxes - if it came to choose between the two. I can vouch from my work experience that small business are seriously concerned with their health care costs.

- Minimum wage: Bush side-lined the question are started talking about better education. Granted that can certainly help, but it will take a generation to see the results. Raising the minimum wage, the lowest in decades, will have an immediate effect. Mind you 5 million Americans have fallen into poverty - they need help now.

20 more days!!
